Hi I'm Myles

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of 4 kids. I design and build swimming pools for a living in Ventura and Santa Barbara County. I love to surf, play tennis, and ski.

Why I am a Mormon

I like that there isn't any paid ministry and that we are all asked to give of our service and time, which, sets the foundation for a great support system. I like that we believe in a latter day prophet instead of relying on the philosophies of man, and because of that, whether in California or a remote part of Africa, we are unified in doctrine. I like that that doctrine is proclaimed world-wide to every single child of God and that when it is taught, it is not done in a persuasive way, but rather with just an invite allowing you to ask God yourself. I like that I can find an answer to all my questions and the answers I find, just make sense. And lastly, I like the good fruits of this church. From the humanitarian aid to the overall, good and faithful people, it just feels good to be a member of this organization.

How I live my faith

Try to study and live a life consistent with the teachings of Christ

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Ultimately, I don't want to put anything bad in my body. Because if I do, I don't feel good. And if I don't feel good, it is harder for me to get in tune with things that are good. Show more Show less
