Hi I'm Frederick Candelario

I'm a Latter-Day Saint/Mormon.

About Me

Hello my name is Frederick. I am currently 20 years of age and got baptized on my 18th birthday which was November 7, 2010. I got married to my Latter-Day Saint Wife the next day. I have a wife, a son, and a baby girl.

Why I am a Mormon

First off I was born, and was baptized as a Catholic, and now here is my story. It all began when I was 14 years of age. My wife and her wonderful grandparents introduced me to the Gospel. The first day I went, I was nervous out in the parking lot. But when I went in, I felt safety, comfort, and peace of mind. I was starting to think this Church must be the True Church, but still wasn't sure. During Sacrament meeting, during the invocation the opening prayer I saw a great shining bright light. It made me tear, and I knew for sure I want to be a part of this Church, but after that experience I wasn't able to attend this church anymore until the age of 17 when I moved, but still wasn't able to get baptized because my family was sort of against the church. But I moved back to where my wife lived with her family and when I turned 18 I got baptized. This Church has many great blessings and fullness and truth. I was shy at first to attend church, but the people are so inviting.  Also what really helped was reading the scriptures and reading another testament The Book of Mormon. I prayed after reading some of the scriptures in this book and had a very strong feeling about it right away, a feeling that made me know for sure that this Church is the True Church of Christ.

How I live my faith

After I was baptized, I tried to get out and do activities, I love the word SERVICE. This word means a lot to me and I try to strive to participate in anyway to do service for anyone. I received the Aaronic Priesthood a few weeks later. Then I got my Patriarchal Blessing. About a few months later I tried to get a Temple Recommend and three months after I was baptized my family and I went to the Temple the week before I had to speak about Redeeming the Dead. I was also called a little time after that, I was called as a Family History Consultant and the Family History Technology Specialist. After this I received the Melchizedek Priesthood and was ordained an Elder. I also try and hold Family Home Evenings with my family every week. Now I try to post a scripture and a quote from our leaders in the Church to members and non-members.  We currently live with my wife's wonderful grandparents. And now I have more callings, not only the two that were mentioned, I am now the Family History Director, Ward Technology Specialist, Media Specialist, and also the Young Men's Secretary.
