Hi I'm Hannah

I live in Tasmania. I love the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest member of a family of six. I have two sisters and one brother. My parents were sealed in the temple for time and all eternity, which means my family can be together forever. I am currently studying at university to become a primary school teacher and I am looking forward to when I finish my degree. I love being outdoors and enjoy hiking, swimming and going to the beach with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into the church and a loving family. I learned the gospel from a young age and it helped me to have good values. In my teenage years I really began to understand the church's teachings and feel of their truth and power. I began to read the book of Mormon and Prayed to find out if it was true. My answer wasn't loud or big but it was an answer. I found that I was able to recognise changes in myself, I had become more tolerant of others and kinder in my interactions. I was able to recognise the change in myself. I know this change was wrought by studying the book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Joseph Smith translated it by the gift and power of God. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today in President Thomas S. Monson. I know that Christ atoned for me and that he knows and loves me. I know that this is the Lords church here on the earth and that as I live by it's precepts I can gain eternal life and live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I teach music to the 3 to 12 year olds at church, it's a great opportunity for me to get to know Heavenly Fathers little ones. They have such beautiful spirits and they remind me of how I should live. They are quick to forgive and apologise, their humility and kindness is a great example to me. I also have the opportunity to represent the young single adults who are the unmarried members of the church between the ages of 18 and 30. This gives me a great opportunity to set up activities and get to know the members who are at the same stage in life as me. I also have the opportunity to go and visit a few sisters from my ward congregation each month and find out how they are and if they need any help. This helps me to get to know all the sisters in my ward well and appreciate them for their different strengths and personalities.
