Hi I'm Michael

I love life. I love to try and learn new things. I'm a husband and father. I'm an accountant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am probably the luckiest dad in the world. Somehow I ended up with four beautiful and wonderful sons. I love life and what is has to offer, there is so much good to be grateful for. I am an accountant and even though that might sound boring, its not! I love what I do.   I enjoy learning and continue to try and do so in many different ways. I have a formal education and have completed my MBA, but that is only a small fraction of what I consider my education. My wife and I continually challenge ourselves with new projects and find fulfillment in learning new skills such as hanging dry wall, installing irrigation systems, installing tile, building landscaping, etc. At one point we bought an old home, gutted the whole thing and with the help of a great father in law learned how to do so many things to put it back together. Aside from schooling and learning to do things with my hands, challenges faced at work have always been opportunities to learn and grow. Life's challenges have also brought about great opportunities to learn and grow spiritually. I love to travel and learn about differnt places and different people. I spent two years doing missionary service in Portugal, which I thouroughly enjoyed. I have had opportunities to visit and interact with people from Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, The Netherlands, UK, Argentina, Russia, and many other beautiful places. Really I'm just a regular guy who loves and enjoys what life has to offer. There is so much to be grateful for!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has helped me to better appreciate the things that are most important in life. Family, service, sacrifice, love... so many great things that it is so easy to lose sight of with all the distractions around us. My faith has brought me closer to my Savior and as I have better learned to trust in him I have grown. Raising a family in this day and age is difficult. I would not want to try and accomplish such a task without the help of the Lord. Being Mormon is not just a casual go to church on Sunday and nothing more. It helps to define me as an individual and us as a family in every day life. It helps to equip my children with the faith and values neccessary for happiness Really I am Mormon because I feel in my heart that it is what I should do. The sweet whisperings of the Spirit have testified to my heart that it is right. As it will do for anyone.

How I live my faith

I try to be better. Serve others. Teach my children correct principles.
