Hi I'm Morley

I'm Canadian, I say EH! and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Morley. I am 23 years old. Though i grew up in Cardston Alberta, Canada i am currently an engineering student at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. I was able to serve as a missionary for the church in Portland Oregon. It was a great experience, I certainly loved helping people improve their lives. I come from a small town, and small town life is my forte. I love the outdoors, and I love physical activity. Some of my hobbies include mechanics, parkour, trampolines, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, chopping wood and bull whips. Anything that is potentially dangerous seems to attract me. My mother is so good at reminding me that i should be more careful as i am being admitted into the ER. I have found that life is simply too short to not enjoy. I know i am only 23 years old but this i know. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being mormon. I am a part of this faith because i believe that the Gospel was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. But along with that I love the principles that this church has given me to guide my life on. The principles of discipline and love. The principles of joy and work, all these things have really made me want this a part of my life. The simplest way to put it is that it fills that hole in my life that i didn't really realize i had.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply trying to be the best that i can be. Trying to be the most Christlike, trying to love people and trying to have a good time. One of my favorite parts about the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church is that we believe in having a good time. We believe that part of the reason we are here is to have joy. Finding joy in what we do is not always easy. School is not easy for me and sometimes its not that enjoyable. But remembering how blessed I am and how much the Lord loves me helps me keep my perspective right. There is always some joy to be found.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

When missionaries come to your door they will come bearing a message of hope and healing. Our teaching is really centred on the needs of people. We want to share a message that is important to you. To give you some ideas we talk alot about Christ and his Gospel. We talk about the plan that God has for each of us. We read from the scriptures, both the bible and the book of mormon. and we invite people to learn more by sincere study and prayer Show more Show less
