He wasn't a Mormon when we married and I was inactive. When the kids came along I became more active and August 2003 he was baptized. September 2004 we were sealed in the temple for eternity. We have 4 children 1 beautiful daughter and 3 handsome sons. Our daughter is married to a Marine and they have 2 beautiful girls. Son #1is in the Navy he is 3rd generation Navy. He is on the submarine Albuquerque somewhere in the pacific ocean. He is married to a wonderful young woman. My other sons are still at home I told them they had to live with me the rest of there lives.  I love to garden flowers and vegetables. I like to sew makeing things for my family and friends most recently for my nephews new baby boy. I am also a CERT( comunity emergency responce team) we do things to help the county with emergencys and latest was a search and rescue, this is all volunteer.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother's family have been members of the church since the missionaries knocked on my great grandfather's door in the early 1900s. I grew up in a part member family. My father couldn't give up his cigarettes and liquor to be baptised. It was a great blessing for us that my parents were sealed after he died. As a teenager I became inactive. There was alot of foolishness going on in my life. I went to other churches with friends and alone to see what was out there. Ihad questions and being a teen I didn't think it was cool to admit it. So I searched and searched but couldn't find what I was looking for. I got married started having children and felt so alone. I remembered how I felt as a child in the church so I figgured it wouldn't hurt. The more I went the more I was able get the answers I had been looking for earler. I felt like this is where I belong. It was slow but it is worth it I know who I am and where I am going. Knowing that I can be sealed to my family members past, present and future members is so exciting. I joined ancestery.com and new.familysearch.org and have been able to find alot of names and stories. Having this information makes them so much more that a name and date but a real person. I believe with all my heart that this is the true church. That the Book of Mormon is the word of God. And that the profit recieves revelation from God.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my city with voluntering with CERT. I am involved with wrighting letters, making cards and sending needed articals to our soldiers in Iraq and Afganasten and being a subtitute teacher. I help out in the nursery, and am the temple rep. for the Relief Society the womens group of the church. I organize temple trips for the sisters we like to call it a day of TLC (temple, lunch and chit chat) those that go have a wonderful time. This is a time that we can be spiritualy uplifted and get to know eachother better. I also have a visiting teaching wrighting group where I wright sisters monthly giving them the message for the month and info. about what is going on with the ward for the month and keeping up with them and their families. I attend my sunday meetings and a monthly R.S. evening meetins. We do service projects and ways of strengthing our selves and families.
