Hi I'm Gladys Wigg

I'm a Grandma, a runner, a photographer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children and grandmother to 13 little ones. I love to jog and have loved working out for 40 years. I love to take pictures of my grandchildren, and wildlife, including birds. I am learning Spanish at night school classes. I enjoy most sports but my favourite to watch is Tennis. I have recently begun to swim laps at the pool and last summer I entered 2 'sprint' triathlons.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and I want to live in harmony with His teachings so that my family can be together forever. I want to show my devotion to Jesus Christ by living as He wants me to live and helping others to know that His true gospel is here on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in the Church by teaching others, old and young alike. I try to teach by example by the way that I live. I give time and quilts to the local drop in centre. I help at the food bank.

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Gladys Wigg
The best thing to do to find out about the Church is to talk to the missionaries. They know the best way to learn the truth about what we believe. Show more Show less

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Gladys Wigg
Women have lots of jobs in the church that allow us the opportunity to serve. I am happy that the men hold the Priesthood and have that responsibility to serve God. I know that womanhood is sacred, as well, and I have the chance to serve in many ways. Show more Show less
