Hi I'm Candace

I'm a Kindergarten Teacher, Runner, Texan, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love being a teacher to Kindergartners here in Texas! I am one of ten children and I love my family more than words. I love running, cooking/baking, crafting, asking questions, visiting new places, the sunshine, being active, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel brings so much light and guidance into my life. I grew up in an area of very few members of the LDS church and recognizing the light in the faithful members that I was able to be around showed me that living the commandments of God brings purity and freedom. Because of the guidance of the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and modern day revelation through our wonderful, living prophets and apostles, I have had opportunity to try and improve myself everyday. It brings a greater sense of self. I am ever grateful for my knowledge of the Savior and his beautiful teachings.

How I live my faith

Through serving in my community branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have been able to see the gospel spread across my hometown to people and places I never thought it would go. I see the miracles that come from missionary work and that strengthens my faith tremendously. As I am involved with missionary work, I know that the Lord is aware of each and every one of us, no matter our circumstances. I lean on my sweet Savior in times of uncertainty and try to stay true to Him in times of peace. I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father at anytime and that gives me great comfort to know he is always, always there.
