Hi I'm Erica Ellen.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Erica Ellen and I'm a recent college graduate. I love to bake because it's science you can eat, and because I love to measure things. I also love sleeping, blogging, reading, awkward moments/people, and spending time with my family. I am a convert to the church, and I am so thankful for my friends that shared the gospel with me because it is through the gospel that I have found what it means to be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in Utah, it is impossible not to have the church make a difference in your life, whether it is for the better or for the worse. Thankfully, I had an amazing group of friends that were wonderful examples of what it means to be a member of the church. When I left for college, I found myself lost and confused, and wanting more for my life. Before I had left for school, one of my BFFs gave me a set of scriptures and a letter containing her testimony of her relationship with Christ and Heavenly Father, and that I could find my own relationship through prayer and reading The Book of Mormon. It took two and a half years before I felt lost enough that I took her advice to heart, and I read The Book of Mormon. I prayed for a confirmation of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon and I received my answer. Six months later I started to meet with the missionaries and I was baptized soon afterward. I am a Mormon because I know the plan of salvation is real, and it is literally God's plan of happiness, and that through it I can return to live with my Father in Heaven. I'm a Mormon because through the gospel of Jesus Christ, I have found what it feels like to be truly happy, and to experience God's eternal love for me. I'm a Mormon because I know The Book of Mormon is true, and if it's true then the church is true.

How I live my faith

I strive to live in such a way that my Father in Heaven will be proud of me, and that my testimony of the gospel is evident in my actions. Through daily prayer and scripture study, I become closer to my Heavenly Father and to my Savior, Jesus Christ.
