Hi I'm Robert from Idaho

I'm a Mormon because I was born into an active LDS family. I found out for myself that the church is true.

About Me

I am a retired college physics professor am married and have a family. I was born and raised in Idaho and except for 10 years have lived here. We had 7 children, 6 are living. I like woodworking and do a lot of my own car repairs. I work as a temple ordinance worker along with my wife. We like to travel and visit our family that are scattered from the mountain west to the east coast. We are blessed with 22 grandchildren.  I enjoyed my teaching career. The students were fun to work with and I enjoyed seeing them progress through the classes I taught. I was also an advisor to many of them both in my area and in related majors. It was good to see them go out into the working world and be successful. I had some very good colleagues that I worked with. I was the only LDS person in my department but we got along well together and were able to discuss religion without any problems.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and am a 5th generation member on my fathers side and a 4th generation on my mothers side. I am an active member because I studied the gospel as a youth and on my mission to the North Central States and have a testimony of the truthfulness of this work and the Church. I continue to study and do my best to follow the teachings and commandments of the Church. As I do so I am more assured of the correctness of this gospel and the validity of the claims that this is the Saviors restored church and that it was brought about through the instrumentality of the Prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is really a second witness of the Savior as it says in its title. By prayerfully reading it one can come to a knowledge of its truthfulness. This leads one to be able to accept the Prophet Joseph Smith and become a member of the true church.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and participate in various activities that may be offered during the week. I have a responsibility to help lead one of the groups in our area. I sometimes teach adult classes. We donate to various community organizations by assisting them and giving items and money as we can.
