Hi I'm Hokino

I grew up in New Zealand, and im currently serving a mission in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im from New Zealand, and I love playing sports, I love reading, and I love meeting new people. I grew up along the coasts of New Zealand with my family, so we are always at the beach! Right now im serving a 2 year mission in the Utah Salt Lake City mission and loving it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, my parents were as well. I always followed what my parents said and believed the church because they said it was right, when I was 18 I decided it was time to stop living off my parents knowledge and beliefs and gain my own. So I followed the prophet Moroni's promise (Moroni 10:3-5) and read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true and I received my own personal witness that it is true.

How I live my faith

By serving as a full time missionary, inviting all that I come across to come closer to their saviour Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Hokino
To know if this is the way, one must read the Book of Mormon which is the convincing evidence that the unique message we share is truth. Then to ask God in prayer the source of all truth if the Book of Mormon is true. If one receives an answer from God (and I promise that you will) then he will know by the power of the holy ghost that the person called to translate the Book of Mormon namely Joseph Smith was called of God. Thus this will also testify that because Joseph Smith was called of God that the Church of Jesus Christ which he helped to restore is the Lords Kingdom here on earth. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Hokino
Its the bee's knees! Seriously this religion and way of life allows us to experience joy, of course there will be heatache and sorrows but we know that it is only for a brief moment. There is joy to be found in following our saviour Jesus Christ and by applying his teachings and encorporating his gospel in our lives. Show more Show less
