Hi I'm Gary

I am an Investigator for the WA State Dept of Agriculture. I am married and have 5 children and I love fly fishing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah but lived most of my school age life in Idaho Falls, ID. Attended and graduated from Ricks College. Attended Idaho State University for about a year then finally completed a BA and a MS from BYU in Horticulture. I am a husband, father, and grandfather. I served a mission for the Church in the North Island of New Zealand. I currently work as an Investigator for the WA State Department of Agriculture. I love spending time with my wife, kids and grandkids and I love fly fishing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I was about 19 I was faced with the decision of all 19 year old young men in the Church with that of serving a 2 year mission. I had been taught all my life and believed that it was the right thing to do but I really needed to "know" for myself. I fasted and prayed many days to know and was willing to accept whatever answer I received. Because it is such a personal experience I cannot share the details other than to tell you that I received an answer to my prayers and I now "know" for myself that this is the true church of Jesus Christ and that going on a mission was one of the best things I have done in my life.

How I live my faith

I love my family, I try to do my best at work, I have served as a teacher, a bishop and am now serving as a clerk in the church.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Gary
We believe that all persons now on earth lived with together in a pre-mortal life as spirit children of our Heavenly Father. In order for us to grow and progress further we chose to come to this earth life to gain a physical body, get married and to have children. We were given our agency to choose right or wrong and to see if we would follow our Heavenly Fathers teachings that will eventually enable us to return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as eternal families if we are true and faithful to his teachings.
