Hi I'm Alexis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports and being outside enjoying the fresh air. I have played soccer for over half of my life and I LOVE it. I also enjoy tennis and basketball. I like to do crafts and hands on activities. My favorite vacation is to the beach. I love the peaceful feeling of hearing the waves crash on the beach and feeling the warm rays of the sun. If I could eat anything I wanted I would definitely choose ice cream! I am currently working full-time as a tax accountant. The things I find the most joy from in my life are my family, friends, and the gospel. I am so blessed in each of these areas and I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my entire life. Ever since I was a small child I have been taught gospel principles in my home and through primary and sunday school. The reason that I have continued to live the gospel as I have gotten older is because of the happiness and freedom I have received through keeping the commandments. I love the promises the Lord has given to his children. I have seen the blessings that can come when I choose the right and seek to align my will with the Lord's. I have a testimony of this gospel through confirmations I have received through the spirit time and time again. I know that Joseph Smith restored this church for these latter-days. I know that the doctrines taught in the Book of Mormon are true and as we abide by those precepts we can be blessed. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God on the Earth today and he does receive revelation for the church as a whole directly from God. I am so blessed to have the knowledge that families can be together for eternity. I love this gospel and am so grateful for the happiness it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

My current calling in my ward is a gospel doctrine teacher. This calling has been a real testimony building experience for me. Not only has my testimony been strengthened through learning so much by studying and preparing for lessons, but I have gained so much confindence in myself and the Lord. I know that it is only through the Lord that I am qualified to teach the gospel. I am also a visiting teacher and am able to visit two girls in my ward. I love the friendships I have with these amazing people. They are a strength to me through their examples. I am grateful for the opportunities I have to serve the Lord's children.
