Hi I'm Bobby

I'm living the dream in my native So. California. Couldn't ask for a better home, family, and Christian faith. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a son, husband, and father to a wonderful family. I grew up in a loving home to parents who always trusted and expressed confidence in me. My wife and I have worked hard together to establish a loving home of our own. We're definitely not perfect, but we try our best to be good parents and people in our community. I'm a man of few words, but I'm working at being more social...but definitely not the social butterfly like my wife. I guess we balance each other out. I love the outdoors, but don't get out as much as I should. When I'm outside I enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding, Seadooing, boating, hiking, and throwing the Aerobie with the kiddos. I enjoy watching movies...specifically classic westerns (John Wayne is the best), WW II classics, old school family classics from the 60-70's (examples - Follow Me Boys & Snowball Express). The Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises are also favorites. Cooking and eating are both hobbies of mine. I love mexican food...I bleed Salsa! Fish and Tri-tip tacos rock. It's fun to cook for others. BBQing steak on the Weber and mexican dishes are my specialties. I work for great company...Oakley (the sunglass guys) so I enjoy going to work each day (while wearing the coolest shades on the planet of course). But I love having a wonderful family to come home to every night. Nothing beats a hug from my wife and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon helps me grow closer to Jesus Christ. With the help of the scriptures, living prophets, and personal revelation I've come to understand more about the purpose of my life and my eternal potential for lasting happiness. I've studied many religions and have friends & family from all different faiths, but I've never found anything as fulfilling and revealing to my soul and mind as my faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I've got mormon pioneer blood flowing through my veins, so I've been blessed to be Mormon all my life. However, I still consider myself a convert to the church because to truely live the life of a devout Mormon you really need to truely believe in the teachings of the church. I had wonderful leaders in my youth who expressed genuine interest in me, loved me, and inspired me to me a man of intergity and faith. In my youth I had the opportunity to participate in the dedication of the San Diego Temple which was a life changing experience in that it inspired me to more fully live the teachings and doctrines of the Church which all ultimately led to increasing my faith in and obedience to Jesus Christ. I chose to serve a 2 year mission and was called to Sydney Australia. My mission experience matured my faith into an unshaken belive that the religion I was apart of was in deed guided and directed by Jesus Christ himself. What a great two years and the memories and miracles of which I experienced are still as vibrant and faith promoting as they where while on my mission. The Bible speaks of knowing if something (i.e. prophets) is good by it's fruits...I've tasted the fruits of being a Mormon for going on 4 decades now and I can witness to the world that those fruits are sweet, very fulfilling, and cultivated by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the promised Messiah and He has called prophets in our day and established this church to help guide his children on the straight & narrow path back to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can. I try to be friendly to everyone by smiling, saying Hello, holding doors open, and serving others where I can. I do my best to be an honorable Husband, Father, Friend, and member of the community. I look forward to attending church every week where I get to associate with some of the best people on this earth, enjoy the Spirit of the Lord, and renew my commitments to follow Christ. During the week my wife and I work together to establish a home full of love; a place where the Spirt of Christ can dwell. Our family prays together daily. We do our best to read from the sciptures daily. We try to be kind to each other and give lots of hugs. We're definitely not perfect, but hey, who is. I just do my best to follow the teachings of the church which help me to be more like the Savior himself. I'm not anywhere close to being like Christ, but I am committed to doing all I can to live my life as He has taught.
