Hi I'm Brixton

College student, living life to the fullest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Fresno, California, and I'm now in Utah studying at Brigham Young University. My free time is spent with family, friends, the movies, Japanese restaurants, and at any down town concert I can find. After serving as a missionary for the church in the Canada Vancouver Mission, I've grown a huge love for service and missionary work. Reaching out and helping others for two years changed every aspect of my life for the better. Probably the biggest blessing in my life right now is my job being a teacher at the Missionary Training Center. I love being able to help missionaries prepare for what will be the most incredible and life-changing event of their entire lives!

Why I am a Mormon

In the Bible, the Savior teaches that, "by their fruits, ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:20). When I look at this church, and more specifically the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I see nothing but incredible things. My life is so much better because of it. Because of this gospel, I know who Jesus Christ is. He has become my greatest strength, and truly, I feel He has become my closest friend. His teachings - the gospel - has changed my life. Because of Him, I have found faith, hope, love, healing, peace, and true happiness. My heart is filled with gratitude every day for everything He has blessed me with as I have followed Him.

How I live my faith

My faith drives everything that I do. As I pray, study the scriptures, and attend church meetings, I feel that I receive personal inspiration for my life. I find answers to questions, and guidance through challenging times. Through my faith, I also have the special opportunity to reach out to many of my peers in the congregation that I attend. For me, that usually happens by teaching them on Sundays, visiting them in their homes, and finding opportunities for us to all strengthen our faith together. Service is a big deal for me, and I feel my faith allows me to serve others in meaningful, uplifting ways. My faith in God always grows as I'm serving.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Brixton
I think missionaries proselyte and work so hard to preach the gospel because they understand how much the Savior and His gospel can bless our lives! These young men and young women (and sometimes some older men and women) know how much it has blessed theirs, and their love for others drives them to do all they can to share that with everyone! It's hard to not share something important to you with those that you love, and the missionaries of that church feel that same way about the gospel of Jesus Christ! Show more Show less
