Hi I'm Amy Lynn

I'm a Mormon from Utah going to college, waiting for the man of my dreams to return from washington :)

About Me

I am a 24 year old student attending college at UVU in Orem. I am going into Elementary Education and have about a year left of school. I love spending time with my family and friends doing random things. I love to laugh and make people laugh. I take more pictures than anyone I know. I thoroughly enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and music. I love summer time, traveling, Lake Powell, receiving letters from my favorite missionary, and well built sandwiches. I have a great love of children and I can't wait to have my own someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to have the gospel in my life from the day I was born. I, like Nephi, was born of goodly parents who taught us the gospel from a young age. As a young child and teenager, I often relied on the testimony of others, but I soon came to gain my own testimony. Through trials and hard times, I have come to know of the truthfulness of this church. I know that the atonement is real, that Christ loves us so much that He gave his life for us. I know that through the atonement we can be forgiven of our sins and they will be washed away as if they never happened. I know that Christ love for us is unconditional and eternal, because I feel it on a daily basis. He loves me, He knows me, and He wants what is best for me. I know that through prayer, we can have a real, deep relationship with our Father in Heaven if we allow it. I know without a doubt, that prayers are answered, because mine have been answered many times. I feel so blessed to be a member of this church. I have come to learn that living righteously and following Christ example is the only way to gain true happiness. I know this because I am happy, and it is through the blessings of this gospel that I am able to feel this way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church services each Sunday. I am currently attending a singles ward that consists of men and women ages 18-30. The calling that I am serving in is "Spotlight Specialist." Each week I have the opportunity of making a new friend and introducing her to the group of women. It is such a special calling because it allows people to feel wanted, loved, and needed in the ward. I also am able to serve as a visiting teacher. At least once a month I go, along with a partner, to a few sisters from the ward houses to visit them, help them in any way, and share a message with them. I try each day to live my faith by being an example to those around me. Reading my scriptures, praying, seeking opportunities for service, being a friend, using appropriate language, listening to and watching appropriate things, and sharing my testimony with others are some of the ways I live my faith each day.
