Hi I'm Elisabeth

I'm a daughter of God, an enthusiast of all things, a student, a dreamer, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student with passions for studying linguistics, dentistry, and developmental psychology. Quite a combination, right? :) I love reading, learning and playing musical instruments, and studying foreign languages. I LOVE the fact that Heavenly Father is MY Heavenly Father. I feel such love from Him, and I know I am His daughter, and He loves me. There are few things that comfort like that simple but powerful knowledge, that I am not just an ordinary person on earth, but I am a daughter of a Heavenly King. We are all His sons and daughters. I have been so blessed to have been born into this gospel. I have never had to live without my testimony of Jesus Christ and His infinite Atonement. I so admire those who accept the restored gospel from other (or no) religious backgrounds. The sacrifices they make and the humongous acts of faith demonstrated are incredible. Jesus Christ is my Savior and I am ever grateful for His sacrifice, and I love Him with everything that I am. I was one of the fortunate ones who had the blessing of being born into the world with an eternal family. I have 5 brothers and 2 sisters, making 8 kids including me. I was blessed with better parents than I could have asked for. My ultimate goal is to one day have an eternal family of my own, and build it upon a foundation of Christ like my parents have done.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel. I was always taught these principles and doctrines. However, I could not live off of the testimonies of my parents. I would have to personally know. At the age 16, I decided I couldn't just accept that others knew the gospel was true. I had to know for myself. I took upon myself the responsibility to ask the Lord if this was His gospel, restored through Joseph Smith, and if the Book of Mormon was true scripture. I recieved my answer, and my life changed because of it. I know that this is the Lord's gospel on earth. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and He loves me as an individual. I don't simply believe or hope, but the Spirit spoke to my heart in such a way that I cannot deny that I know.

How I live my faith

I try to remain faithful to the covenants I made with the Lord. I make that my #1 priority. The Lord comes first in my life. It's been said to "Preach the gospel at all times. Use words when necessary." I always try to be an example if the believers in everything I do. I always live like somebody is watching, because I never know when somebody might be. I try to keep a relationship with my Heavenly Father by consistent and sincere prayer, and scripture study. By doing this, I invite His Spirit into my life. "Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to how kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, for these are the things Jesus taught."
