Hi I'm Dorothy

I grew up in Utah. I love nature, drawing and photography. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 10 children. I love photography, drawing, painting, and ceramics. I enjoy vollyball, soccer, softball, and basketball. I love music and Disney movies. I love nature, especially waterfalls, flowers and animals. I love spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, but there came a time when I had to know for myself that this was the true church of Jesus Christ. I prayed to know and the Lord answered my prayers. There was a time when I had doubts that I had a Father in Heaven who loved me. Then I was in an accident that completely smashed the car, but I got out with only a few scratches. That day I knew I was being watched over by someone who truely loves me. I have found great joy and happiness in the church. I know that I am a precious daughter of God, and He loves all His children, and wants them to have true happiness that can last for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to become more Christlike. I strive to learn of Christ and His teachings by reading the scriptures, praying for guidence, and serving those around me. I have recently returned from serving a mission in California where I helped others to learn of Christ and experience the joy and happiness that I have felt, and I am currently teaching a class of four year olds so they can more fully come to know their Savior.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. We worship God, or our Heavenly Father, and His son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith is important because he is a prophet called of God and it was through him that Christ restored His gospel on the earth, but we don't worship him. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Just as the Bible is a record of people in Jerusalam, the Book of Mormon is a record of the people on the American continent and their dealings with God. The record starts with a family in Jerusalam about 600 B.C. The Lord told them that they needed to leave because Jerusalam would be destroyed. They left and eventually came to the Americas.
