Hi I'm Kaylene

I love to travel, I love tai chi, I love to smile, and I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Having grown up in Arizona, I love the heat and doing anything outdoors like hiking, taichi, running, and playing with animals. I enjoy music, writing, picture taking, and organizing. I love to meet new people and to learn new things, through really good books, teachers, and everyone I see. Making others happy, being with my family, and making new friends is the greatest joy in life to me. I love being a latter-day-saint and a missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, or in other words, I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because it makes me happier and a better person than anything else could. Following Christ has brought me incredible hope, peace, love, and a fullfillment of my deepest dreams. When I was 14, I was at a time in my life when I had made mistakes and the storms of life were creating choas for me. I just wanted to be able to smile again and feel free and help people around me to do the same. The key to unlocking all of that was never a secret. I was promised so many times that if I read the Book of Mormon, pray, and go to church, I would be happy. So finally I did it with all my heart. I trusted God and He did answer. This has changed my life and my families life. I know the gospel is true. It is my life, my joy, and my light. I can see it and feel it and I know it is for everyone because we are all God's children and He loves us so much!

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by happily serving a mission to share this message of hope, family, eternal life, and so much more with everyone I see. Living my faith to me is offering help and reason to smile to everyone, anywhere, anytime, no matter who they are because we're all brothers and sisters with a very loving Father in Heaven.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The temple is such a wonderful and special place to be and the covenants, or two-way promises between the individual and God, we make there bring so much strength, peace, and joy. The temple is a sacred place where the spirit of God is in great abundance. It's in those walls that we draw closer to God, and are sealed as families for all time and eternity, and it's in those walls that we receive the guidance and strength to make life the best and greatest it can be.Our message to the world is that we want all to come and enjoy the blessings of the temple. That is why we invite all to come and be baptized and receive the precious gift of the Holy Ghost and come to church. All these things prepare one for the tempel. To enter unprepared or unworthy would be as if entering a collage after just finishing 6th grade. we would not be as spiritually ready to receive all God has to offer. It means far more to us when we take those steps to prepare. Thats how Heavenly Father has always worked with His children, line upon line. And the more we trust, and act, and build our faith, the more he is able to bless us with. I know God loves us all equally and he wants to give us the greatest happiness. Thats why He blessed us with a Savior, the Holy Ghost, scriptures, covenants, family, and the gift of choosing to follow His Plan of Salvation. I LOVE the temple! Show more Show less
