Hi I'm Austin

I'm a kid trapped in an adult body. I love to laugh and have fun. I'm a life-long convert to the Anaheim Angels. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Missouri on a small family farm. There are 8 children in our family, so naturally we did not have a lot of money growing up. But what we did have was invaluable. We had the gospel of Jesus Christ. With that knowledge, I have been able turn my humble upbringing into a happy life filled with fun, imagination and adventures. In my spare time as a youth I went fishing, read books, watched movies, worked on the farm, and invented games to play with my siblings. Because of that upbringing I have developed a work ethic and a perspective on life that has given me many opportunities to excel in my life. I have recently returned from serving a mission for the Lord in Anaheim, California. The experience and growth that I received there will bless me for the rest of my life. I am studying Business and Philosophy/Politics in Virginia. With that education I hope to be an influence for good in the world and continue my missionary service in bringing others to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to true peace and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many Mormons, I was raised in the Church, but not all Mormons stay. I have chosen to continue this path because I received a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that this gospel is true. Joseph Smith is a prophet, and he restored the original Church of Jesus Christ back to the Earth. You can see the evidence that the Church was restored through it's members, who are walking examples of what it means to be a desciple of Jesus Christ. The only real way to know for yourself is to read the Book of Mormon, apply its teachings into your life, and ask God if it is true. I promise you that if you do this, you will recieve the same prompting from the Holy Ghost that these things are true, just as I did.

How I live my faith

I take to heart the scripture in the Book of Mormon that teaches about serving others. There is a prophet named King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon who reveals this great truth "When ye are in the service of your fellow men, ye are only in the service of your God." I have served in many ways throughout my life. Just being a Latter-day Saint automatically implies that I give service, which ranges from doing service projects for the community, teaching Sunday School, or preaching the Gospel to others which I had the opportunity to do in Anaheim California for 2 years. I am also an Eagle Scout and hope to continue to serve the young men in that inspired program. I am involved in student government, and hopefully community and state government in the future. I feel obligated to pursue this path because I feel that God has given me the gifts and talents necessary to serve his children in this capacity. I also love music. I have sang in school choirs for about 8 years, and never tire of bringing the spirit of music into the lives of others. Lastly, I serve my family. My family means more to me than anything else in this life. I always try to spend as much time as possible with them, and serve them in any way I can.
