Hi I'm Allysa

I'm a missionary, I'm a Orange head, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well currently I am a missionary for the church serving in texas houston east mission. I was living at home, so i love spending time with family and friends. I was going to school before i left and studying business, but changed to undecided. I have had sort of a different life, but i have learned or am learning that those things that we have all gone through and not matter what they are, we cant let them take control of who we are to become in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am i a mormon, well i have grown up in this church from birth and so i have gone to church every sunday and gone to all the activities. But when i got old and started going to college and living on my own i stopped going for about 5 months and i was trying those things and doing those things that college student do when they are around their friends and during those five months i changed into not being myself and well one day i was talking to a friend who had a friend who went to the church and they and recently become a member and i could see how it made a difference in his life and i realized that i had been taking my faith and religion and how it had helped me get thorugh those times for granted. So the that guy started coming by on sundays and would pick me up and we would go to church together and i know that if it wasn't for him i honestly would know if i would be on my mission today.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday, but just like everyone else i do slip up sometimes. I have made mistakes that i ended up not going to church for about a year and it wasn't until i had to move back home and goping with my parents that i realized that what i missed and how much i relied on the lord before then and now being a missionary and how you have those trials and those changes happening all at once and the only person who really understands is the lord and because of him i'm able to go out and spread the gospel with those people that i contact every day.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

For me a testimony is when you can say without a doubt that you know something is true, even if you have never seen it, but you know that it is true. That you have faith in it. Show more Show less
