Hi I'm Seth

I'm a comedian, I'm an amateur film director, I love business and marketing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a fairly big family with four brothers, and when we're actually getting along we have a good time. I love working with computers and all kinds of technology. I am fascinated with business and I am always looking to learn more. I have always enjoyed finding ways to be creative with things most people find boring like numbers and statistics. I love writing and making people laugh, but I am shy and really quiet when I first meet people. I'm a nerd and a little weird but I just like to have fun like everyone else.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon, but when I was in high school I started to think about why I went to church with my family every week. I thought a lot about the things I had learned growing up and how different my life would have been without the values my parents had taught me. I decided to read the Book of Mormon and to further examine my own beliefs. As I read and began to Pray for Guidance to find the truth I came to know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. There wasn't any one moment when I all of the sudden knew that it was true, but as I searched for truth and grew closer to my Heavenly Father I finally realized that what I had always believed was right and I was able to recognize what role God had played in my life. He was guiding me all along the way.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Portland Oregon. Sharing the message of Jesus Christ's restored gospel has brought me more joy and more fulfillment than anything I have ever done before in my life. The gospel is universal and can bless the lives of everyone who truly desires to follow Jesus Christ.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Seth
When one is baptized one makes covenants with God to obey his commandments. In order for us to make those covenants we need to have permission from God or authority to act in his name, that is what the priesthood is, the power and authority to act in God's name. Man cannot forgive sins. Although we must forgive each other for our trespasses against each other but only God can forgive sins, because a sin is a trespass against God's commandments. Our Heavenly Father loves us and has provided us with baptism for the remission of our sins as well as the atonement of Jesus Christ so that we can repent of the mistakes we will inevitably make after baptism so that we can return to live with him.
