About Me

I'm Will. I am an Eagle Scout. I love playing the guitar and writing songs, lifting weights, chillin with friends, and eating food. I love singing, sang in choir all through high school. I Love collecting rocks. Its been a hobby of mine ever since I was little. I love playing video games but I'm not the type that plays them all day. I like to get out and be active and live life to the fullest! I served a 2 year mission in Portland, Oregon and that has been the best two years of my life so far. I am a three time Blazin Challenge Champion

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and adopted into a loving family with wonderful parents. I went to church and mutual and liked it, but then I became a teenager. But, I was truly converted in a, kind of interesting way. I loved football cause I played back in Jr High. Well, I got home from Practice on a Thursday night and was just resting in my room. I was pondering what I was going to do for the next 5 years of my life. I sure as heck didn't wanna play football all my life. So I thought to myself, "Pray. Yeah, sure that's gonna work." But I did it anyways. I just said "God help me know what I'm supposed to do." Suddenly I found it getting stronger and stronger. After about 10 minutes, I looked up and began to cry. And then, something happened. Something that I WILL NEVER Forget. I felt a hand on my shoulder, but there was no one else in my room. But from that day on, I knew that God was there, and He does listen to the prayers of His Children. I Know That My Redeemer Lives, and I truly do know that. Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins, but He did it willingly. What a loving Father in Heaven we have. I bear you this witness, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I try to help anyone in need, even if they are homeless or whatnot. I guess its that charitable side in me, and they say Charity is the pure love of Christ.

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

Joseph Smith, a young boy of 14, wanted to know which Church was the right one and he started asking and seeking. He read in James 15 which says "If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." So, Joseph sought. He went to a grove of trees about a mile from his house, and knelt down and started to pray. He recalls "I saw a pillar of light, exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me...When the light rested upon me, I saw two personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other, 'Joseph, this is my Beloved Son. Hear Him.'" Joseph was eventually instructed by an angel named Moroni to find some golden plates buried in a hill and translate, not write, translate them with the power from God. Take in mind that he only had a 4th grade education. He was a prophet, persecuted and eventually martyred for what he believed in.  Show more Show less
