Hi I'm Rebecca

I am a wife, a mother, and a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently embarked on the most exciting, rewarding adventure of my life: motherhood. Over 2 years ago I married my best friend, and about 9 months ago a sweet little boy joined our family. I love being a mom. I also enjoy running and playing tennis. Music has always been a big part of my life, and I enjoy playing the piano and violin. I am thankful to be married to someone who also loves music, and who is my very own Michael Buble! I graduated from college in 2012. I had the opportunity to teach 3rd grade for a year a half. Having a classroom full of 25 9 year olds was an adventure every single day. I love all the challenges and successes that come with being a teacher. I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I loved growing up in the south; there really is nothing like southern hospitality. Although I married a boy from Idaho, we are back in the south, as he has embarked on the journey to become a lawyer through Emory Law School. I have the privilege of being at home with my baby boy, which I am grateful for every day. I loved being a teacher, but I know that being a mother to my children is the greatest calling I have from my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace and joy my membership in the church brings to my life. I am grateful for the knowledge I have of a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior, my brother, who sacrificed his life so that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father and my family forever. I am a Mormon because living the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me the more happiness than I could ever imagine. I love the gospel, I love my family, and I love the Lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my every day life. I strive, each day, to strengthen my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ through prayer, scripture study, and service. I am so grateful for the church and the many opportunities for service that it provides. Our Savior spent each day of his life on earth serving, and I know that as I live my faith through serving others, including my family, I will become more like my Savior. I also know that God answers our prayers and loves each one of His sons and daughters. This life is the time to prepare to meet our God. I know that it is not easy, as we are faced with challenges and trials throughout our lives. But what I have learned through my own trials, is that turning to the Lord and trusting in His plan is crucial. I live my faith as I rely on the Lord and His guidance through the spirit. I also live my faith by being a mother. I know that being a mother is the highest calling Heavenly Father has given to me as a woman. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to be a mother.
