Hi I'm Candice

I'm a wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Mormon church but I had to gain my own testimony. I'm from a big family.  I was married young and we struggled financially. I joined the US Air Force and served almost six years. When I got out of the service, I got a contractor job. I have been married for fifteen years and I'm mother of four wonderful children. I like to write stories and do water colour illustrations.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though my parents taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ, there was a tough time when I wasn't going to church. I never lost my testimony but discouragement made it difficult continue to go. When my oldest child was nearing eight years old and he wasn't ready for baptism, I knew I needed to change. I needed to be an example and teach my children God's plan for us. I have a testimony and it burns bright. I know Jesus lives. I know that Heavenly Father listens to and answers my prayers. I am grateful for Joseph Smith and all he suffered through to help restore the gospel. I am thankful for the Holy Scriptures both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I believe that families are an institution created by God to helps us grow in service and in love.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a religion that is more than just having faith. We believe in doing. Not earning our way into Heaven but striving to live by Christ's teachings. It isn't easy to follow the commandments. For one thing, there are so many of them! But I hope I live my faith by going to church, reading scriptures with my family, praying, repenting often and working hard to provide for my family. Most of all showing that I love my God and I love my family.
