Hi I'm John Ross

I grew up in Canada. I'm a snowboarder, a Brother, a Son, and a Friend. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a newly married young man just getting ready to go to college and begin a career. I love the outdoors and outdoor sports including rock climbing, hiking, kyaking, and just about any other thing you wanna try. I have a lot of good people in my life and I know its because the Lord blesses me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to amazing parents who joined the church at the beginning of their marraige. I grew up in this church but didn't really gain a personal understanding of whether or not it was true until later. When I was 14 years old, my parents divorced and it threw my world into chaos. I questioned a lot of things, but I truly came to know in that time that I have Father in Heaven who is God who Loves me. He knows my name and needs. He sends help to me in the forms of other people and His holy Spirit. He guides me to things that are true and gives me peace. He sent His son Jesus Christ to teach His children what we should do and I know that Christ lives today and always. I know that one day my family will be together forever and I hope to continue living my life in such a way that makes that possible.

How I live my faith

There is a lot of help that we can do for one another. I love to help people and be apart of the community. In our church we coordinate with local neighborhoods to do service projects. Its good to have ways to be organized enough to accomplish something big as a community and family. Everything we do in the church is volunteer. I have helped run marathons, clean parks and highways, gone on scout camp outs and DJ dances. I follow the example of Jesus Christ by visiting the lonely, the poor, the sick and those who need help. I visit several familes a month to make sure their needs are met. I also help sunday school teachers at church learn how to become better teachers so that the gospel of Christ is easier to understand and live. I love to serve because I know it is what the Savior does.
