Hi I'm Blake

I grew up in Teton Valley, Idaho. I love to hunt, fish, camp, and anything else outdoors. I love country music. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love the outdoors. I grew up hunting and fishing with my family and friends and will continue through my life. I love shooting guns and anything that goes along with it. The mountains are where I love to be and growing up in the Teton Valley they were always in reach. I love music, country music to be exact. My favorite artists include Brad Paisley, Billy Currington, Dean Brody, and of course King George. I also play the Piano. I love to play country songs that I hear on the Radio. I play the hymns we have in The LDS hymn book and love to play those too. Music has always been one of my loves. I have grown up working. I have held jobs landscaping, construction (framing, roofing, concrete work, etc) lining ponds, and putting in sewer and water main lines for subdivisions. I love to work. There is something very rewarding at the end of a long day when you look at what you have been able to accomplish that day. My Dad has brought me up to work hard for what I have and that I be honest and put in a full days work for a full days pay. I love cabinetry. I am in the process of building my own gun cabinet and have built things like cedar chests, jewelry boxes, helped build a Bed frame and display cases. I also love to weld and do things with Metal. I love working with my hands. Weight lifting and things of that sort are always fun to do! I come from a family of 8. My parents, One older sister and 4 younger brothers. Fun fun!

Why I am a Mormon

My whole life I have grown up LDS. My parents are very active and have brought us kids up that way. Through my life I have seen the light and the happiness in those who I know are members of this Church. They have a firm faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his Atonement. They know about the plan of Happiness that our father in Heaven has for each of his Children. They have the Truth! It gives them a sense of direction nothing else can give. Seeing this in others has built my testimony. As i have studied the Book of Mormon and read the words feel joy and peace. Yes I struggled, I thank my Heavenly Father that I didn't venture too far off the beaten path; but I did have my struggles. But I have found the more and more I involved the Savior in my life and the more and more I studied the Words of his living prophets on the Earth today, I know this is the way. There is no other explanation for this. This is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is his true Church. That is why I am serving a mission for 2 years, So I can take this happiness and joy, the news that Jesus Christ has established his church once again on the Earth and it is lead and guided by living prophets today. I love this Gospel. On my mission I have seen the changes it has wroght in the lives of those who accept its message. That is why i'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a mission for 2 years in the Arizona Tucson mission. I have been a home teacher in my wards back home. I have actively been in the scouting program and have earned my Eagle Scout award. I play the piano for various meetings and have been a youth leader many times. I try to be a good nieghbor and person and serve those around me as Christ would have done. "Be thou and example of the believers" I try to live my faith through my example. I bear the name of my Savior across my chest and on my heart every day. It is me, It's who I am, and its what makes me happy. I absolutely love the Book of Mormon, I read it every day and carry it with me wherever I may go. It is my rock and my testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ, that He lives! I have come closer than ever to my Savior through living the principles found in The Book of Mormon. I love this Book with all my heart, it has changed my life.
