Hi I'm Liz.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up around the world because of my dad's job with the U.S. Government. I studied English in college and hope to work as an editor or a teacher. I'm married to my best friend and love of my life, and we're amazingly happy. I love to read, cook, and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and gained my own testimony as a young teenager after reading The Book of Mormon. I know that The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, and I love to learn from its words. I am especially grateful for the Temple and the chance I have to be with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I work as a teacher for the young children of the church. I love to be around them and feel their excitement and joy while they learn about the Gospel. They are great examples to me, and I have been incredibly blessed to work with them.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes. When a husband and wife are sealed by the Priesthood power in the Temple, and continue to live righteously and faithfully, they can be together forever. It's a great comfort to know that our relationships don't have to end when our lives end. Show more Show less

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Joseph Smith received an ancient record recorded on gold plates. He translated this record, and the resulting book is known as The Book of Mormon, because the ancient prophet Mormon abridged the record. It is an account of people living in the Americas between 600 BC and 400 AD, having originally arrived on the continent by boat from Jerusalem. This civilization became part of what Christ described to the people in Jerusalem as "other sheep not of this fold." I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon, and know it to be another testament of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
