Hi I'm Valerie

I'm an explorer of new cities. I'm a book lover. I'm newly engaged. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated college with a degree in education. I'm still looking for my dream job; however, I have found the man of my dreams! We recently got married in God's temple for time and all eternity. We also recently moved to a new city and are loving it! I love to explore new cities, find cute, little bookstores, and enjoy God's creations. I also love to cook, eat, read, and watch baseball with my husband. I always feel the need to serve others and love to volunteer in my community.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad baptized my mom and I when I was eight years old. A year later we were joined together as an eternal family. I know that Heavenly Father wants all of his children to find happiness and joy in this life, so He has put us in familes for a reason! This life has so many trials and sorrows and yet our family is always there to love, support, and protect us. One thing that I love about this gospel is knowing that we can be with our loved ones for time and all eternity, not just til death, because of the power of God, the priesthood, on the earth today. Living the teachings of Jesus Christ is how we stay sane in this crazy world. We have to live what the Savior taught; forgivness, patience, love, kindness, repentence and more. I know that by living and doing all of these things I can handle anything that life wants to throw at me and I am on a soild foundation that will not let me fall. When I do slip and sin, the Savior is right there to help me up and put me back on my feet.

How I live my faith

Fatih is action. If I say I believe it something than it affects what I do, what I say and who I am. I live my life the best way I know how with the circumstances I'm in. I try to do my best and act like the Savior would. When I mess up I try to change for the better. I love helping others in any way I can; service has always been a part of my life. Daily prayer and scripture study has also helped me to better live what I know. I have felt the Holy Ghost when I do these simple things and those feelings lead me to actions, those actions help me in becoming more like my Father in Heaven.
