Hi I'm Kjirstin

I'm an outdoor enthusiast. I'm a Civil Engineer. I'm a new Mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a civil engineering degree. I have used this degree to help support my husband and myself as my husband attends medical school. I have worked on fixing traffic problems in Utah to trying to bring mass transit alternatives to Wisconsin. Recently I just had a baby girl, who just like me came into the world bottom first. As a new mom now I am trying to balance my responsibilities of taking care of our daughter physically and taking care of our family financially.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have attended my whole life. I have never questioned my faith, however I have learned about other religions and beliefs, the more life experiences I have the more I know that this is Heavenly Father's true gospel. I have a passion for learning. I have always worked hard in school, been a good student. I loved learning about hydraulic systems and traffic operations. When I get excited about learning engineering principals I know that I have chosen the right field to work in. When I study my scriptures or the words of the letter day Prophets I feel more than love of what I am studying. I feel a warmth in my heart when I read things that I know are meant for me. When I feel God's tender mercies when I pray I know that I am in the right Church.

How I live my faith

I share my faith with children, from my own little girl to the children that attend our church each Sunday. I am serving as the Secretary in the Primary Presidency. The Primary includes all kids under the age of 12. I not only keep track of who is there week by week, but I am there to be a teacher and a friend to ever one of them. Each week I love to hear the children's enthusiasm to learn about their Savior, they impress me by how much they know and how easy their faith comes to them.
