Hi I'm Tim

I'm a pre-med student and lover of the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 23 year old college student majoring in the sciences, and I'm preparing to enter into Medical School soon. I'm a gymnast, an avid runner, and an occasional tennis and volleyball player. I thoroughly enjoy outdoor activities and especially love camping and hiking in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints a Mormon because God has shown me that this is his one and only true church on the earth today. I came to know this when I was 16 years old. At this time one of my dear friends was determined to show me that everything the Mormon Church taught, such as prophets, visions, and the Book of Mormon, was all a big hoax. After speaking with him, I felt myself getting frustrated. I didn't know if the Mormon Church could even possibly be true. The visions, prophets, and Book of Mormon did seem a little farfetched. I decided to make it a matter of prayer. I prayed fervently to know if Joseph Smith was a true prophet and if the Book of Mormon was true. Although, my answer did not come at that instant, it did come. My answer came when I was at church. My teacher decided to show us a movie called "The Restoration". It was about Joseph Smith and his vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ. I felt something special, something different as I watched that movie. I felt an overwhelming peace and hope for the future. I knew at that time that Joseph Smith did indeed see Jesus Christ and God the Father. I also knew that the Book of Mormon was true. I have never doubted since. You too can know for yourself!

How I live my faith

I love being involved in my community. Two of my favorite volunteer activities are volunteering at the hospital and working with my town's truancy court for kids who skip and/or fail school.
