I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Some people call us 'Mormons'.

About Me

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am an interior designer. I am a fast-pitch softball pitcher. I am a dancer. I am a singer. I am a woman. I love the outdoors, to be camping, hiking, sometimes fishing, boating, cliff jumping, on a walk. I love my family. I love to be athletic and stay in shape, while I also love chocolate and movies. While all of these things define who I am, the biggest thing that defines who I am and have become is that I am a Christian, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a 'Mormon'.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ('Mormons'). While you could say that this is the reason I am LDS, I would say the reason I am still LDS today is because I gained a testimony for myself. When I was in High School I had my rebellious time, my time for searching for other things. During this time I met one of the best friends of my life. As we grew to know each other, my life began changing. I began to search for who I truly was. I found that as I focused on the scriptures and trying to be close to God, I was happier and more confident in myself. Going further, as I did this I began to be more involved in the church again. I learned through those experiences and through prayer, on my own, that it was true. I felt God with me even more. And realized how much He cared for me as His child, His daughter. A princess.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I attend church with my family. Each day we pray many times, to God, I keep a prayer in my heart and find that I can talk to Him all day. He listens and stays with me. I create family time to make sure that I can teach my children about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for them, who they are and what they do for us. I visit other women to see how they are doing and whether there is anything I can do for them. Most of all, I live my faith through example, and showing that I am a follower of Christ, by trying to be like Him; kind, a peacemaker, loving others and myself, patient, long-suffering, serving, charitable, etc. That being said - these are all things I try hard to do and work on - I am not perfect, and that's why I am immensely grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, who was and is perfect. I can become perfected in Him.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

The Bible is Holy Scripture. We know it to be the word of God and use it every day. It is always a reference and something we are encouraged to read along with modern revelation. Show more Show less
