Hi I'm Alanna

I'm a homemaking, picture-taking, self employed, dark-chocolate connoisseur. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school crush and graduated from BYU with a degree in Sociology. My universe revolves around two mischievous little boys and one sweet baby girl. When I get the chance I love to read, hike, make jewelry, blog, and bake incredible chocolate chip cookies.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a Latter-Day Saint during High School. I had attended religious services my entire life but never felt the outpouring of the Holy Spirit the way I did while learning Mormon theology. The doctrines of the Restored Gospel resonated within me so profoundly that I knew what I was being taught was true. Becoming a Latter-Day Saint illuminated my existence. Knowing my eternal identity as a daughter of God gives my life purpose and has helped me experience true joy.

How I live my faith

My lifestyle is deeply influenced by my spiritual convictions. I try to live as a representative of Jesus Christ. While it is not always easy and I am far from perfect, striving to be like the Savior brings me happiness. Doing daily devotions, such as sincere prayer, scripture study, meditation, repentance, kindness and service help me feel connected to my Father in Heaven. Worshiping with other believers strengthens my faith and is a significant source of joy for myself and my family. We attend a ward a near our home and participate in all of the programs available. Currently my calling is with the Young Women in our area. Through this experience I have gained an awareness of the serious challenges facing youth in our day and a strong desire assist them with my own unique talents and abilities.
