Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a small town girl just working my way through college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just beginning my third year in college. I love anything that has to do with the outdoors or music. Singing is a huge part of who I am. I also love to hike, four-wheel, bike ride and anything else outside. I love to learn, which is the reason I am attending college. I work as a writing coach on campus and love to perform in shows and vocal performances. At times I feel incredibly overwhelmed trying to balance my hectic schedule as a student with my family, hobbies, and religious responsibilities, but I know that the Lord helps me as I try to live my life as best I can. As a student, I love to spend time with my roommates and boyfriend; and I absolutely love long conversations with my family. I'm the second to last of five kids. My dad works as a carpenter and my mom stayed at home to be with us growing up, now she teaches piano. I feel so blessed to be a part of my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a member of this church, but I can honestly say it has been a life long conversion process. When I was little I learned of Heavenly Father and I knew I was His daughter. I always wanted to live worthy of His love for me, I was soo excited to be baptized at age 8 and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. This gospel of Jesus Christ has always been an essential part of my life, it is who I am. I read the Book of Mormon as a young girl and felt the Spirit testify to me of its complete truthfulness, even at such a young age. I continued to study from the scriptures, reading of Christ's life in the New Testament, studying ancient prophets in the old Testament, and learning of modern day revelation in the Doctrine of Covenants. Not only are the scriptures an essential part of my testimony, but personal prayer has also made me who I am today. I have endured difficult hardships that tried my faith, but through it all I always knew I could pray to my Heavenly Father and He would comfort me, I could literally feel His love for me. Also, throughout everything, I have always been able to depend on my family, and I am so grateful that families can be sealed in the temple for time and all eternity. I know this is true. I know that Christ atoned for our sins, He lives and loves us!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing every day to live as Christ lived. In order to truly live my faith, I must make a conscious effort to always choose Christ in everything I do. I choose Christ by spending time helping others and making them smile. I choose Christ by sharing my testimony. I choose Christ by serving. I have the blessing of working with the women in my church, and I am so grateful for the influence a righteous woman can have. I know that we are all sons and daughters of a Heavenly Father who loves us, and we can show our love and faith in Him by sharing His love with everyone around us!
