Hi I'm Dave

I'm an actor, musician, and yes of course, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am going to a University and learning to further develop and harness my abilities as an actor and teacher. Other interests would have to include making some groovin' jams with a band, watching old movies that most people have forgotten about, and having actual good quality time with my family and friends. To some it all up, I'm a "refined goofball".

Why I am a Mormon

I am a "Mormon" simply because of miracles. I was born into a world where my mother and father were not married. Thus, when my father realized when my mother was pregnant, he took off. This left my mother alone, with a brand new world of potential in her sole care, a brand new baby boy. Me. Though my mother could have made the choice to simply to give me up for adoption, she chose to raise me. I was baptized as a child into a certain denomination, but my knowledge of God in my early years was very nil I knew He was out there somewhere, but I had no idea who He was, what He did, and how I had any relation Him. Over the next few years, some hardships came towards me. When I was eight years old, my father passed away. A year or so following that, my dear mother, also passed away due to a compilation of sicknesses. I was there while she passed, and after that moment I had never felt so alone in my life then, nor since. Luckily, my Aunt & Uncle kindly took me into their family. They were a rather large family before I had even entered in on the scene. This is where I learned about "the Mormons". As I met with the missionaries, my understanding of God grew from almost nothing, to a true loving and understanding relationship. There I learned that He is my literal Father in the spiritual sense, and that He has a plan for me. There I learned that families could be together forever, and that although death had taken both of my parents, it was not the end. I shouted for joy, quite literally. It took that dark sorrow that was once in my soul and replaced it with an eternal beaming light. I was baptized on November 5, 2000. Since then, my life has escalated to greater heights than I ever thought possible. I am proud to be a member of the Church. No matter how much God takes away, He will restore it and more to us if we are faithful. I believe in Him, and I trust in Him. This is "the" Church. I know it. I am a "Mormon" simply because of miracles.

How I live my faith

I served two-year full time mission for the Church in the Great State of Texas, and I loved it. Though just because I'm no longer wearing a missionary tag does not mean I stop spreading the message of the restored gospel to all those who will listen. I also look for opportunities to serve those in my community, whether they be big or small. I simply want to help make the world a brighter and much better place, so anything that contributes to that, I want to be a part in it!
