Hi I'm Bruce

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wife and six kids, with the oldest boy serving a mission. I love to be with my family and together we like to ride dirt bikes and fix anything that has wheels and drive it, and like it even more if it is very old. I love my job because I get to work with my family a lot. I like most sports and have played a lot of basketball and softball, but I'm getting to old for them and play a little golf when I get the chance. As a family we play old video games and also watch old movies or T.V. shoes together. I like to sing Kareoke and the family usually joins in. My best friend is my wife and we walk together as many mornings as we can. We also have great talks together along with the kids sneaking in to the conversation. We have two dogs and who knows how many cats and some calves we take care of.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a mormon and went to church through out all my youth. I grew up with a good father and mother who taught me well, and loved me and still do. I was really shy and did not like to be around people much. When it was time to go on a mission, I wasn't ready, and the Bishop seen I wasn't ready. He told me to wait. Well, I never was ready and fell out of church activity. By the time I was twenty four years old I knew I needed to change. I wasn't doing what I knew was right, but I still had a testimony. I never did hang out with the wrong kind of people but I had my problems. I started going to young single adult activities and determined to get over my shyness and go to church. That was a hard time and it took two years to get rid of some bad habits, but I had a few talks with the Bishop and got a Temple recommend. Just one year later I was married to the most beautiful girl in the world in the Temple. I guess the best way to tell you why I'm a Mormon is that I wanted more than anything in this world a wife, a family, and yes, happiness. I knew that this church was the best way, and in my mind the only way, to have true happiness. And yes, I did find out that my most truely best friend is the Savior, Jesus Christ, and I testify that he lives and answers my prayers everyday. And He suffered for my sins and has shown me the way back home to my Heavenly Father, and that this Church, The Mormon Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, is the only true and living church on the face of His earth. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I am very much active in the church and have been asked to do many rewarding things. Like going camping with the youth and teaching them about the outdoors. Going visiting to those who need help of anykind. Visiting those who I have been asked to visit and making great friendships with them. Teaching on Sunday, lessons from the Bible, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price, and learning more than you teach. Cleaning the church building with others and enjoying the blessings of work. Going to the Temple and cleaning there. Going to Temple to do sacred work for those who have died. Getting a group of people together to do service, yard work, helping them move, or fixing a roof. I've worked at a charity drive for Christmas toys and food for children. I've worked at a bean wharehouse where the food goes to those in need. And at a used clothing store for those who need clothing. There are endless things that can be done for others, that is what this church is really about, helping others with life. And can you believe it, you will help yourself beyond what you believe as possible.
