Hi I'm Kristin

I'm a daughter, sister, athlete, professional. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am single and living away from home. I love the independence, but miss my friends and family too. I have a master's degree and work full-time as a human resource professional. I love to play sports and play with children. I love to cook and I love to sing sing in the car, sing while cooking, sing anywhere and anytime I can!

Why I am a Mormon

I know there is purpose in this life and I know life exists after we die. The point of this life is to find happiness and that comes from following the principles and example of Jesus Christ. Daily I look for the Lord's hand in my life. As I actively seek Him, I find and see the Lord is guiding my life. I recognize that I have agency to choose my own path, but what I've also come to understand is the Lord knows the very best plan for me. I pray to my Father in Heaven and study the words of His holy prophets, current and agent. I ponder the teachings in the Bible and Book of Mormon. As I do so I receive answers to the complicated issues in my life. More than anything I want to return to live with my Father in Heaven and be together with my family as an eternal family. This eternal relationship is made possible through the covenants and priesthood in the temples. When I was a little girl growing up in this church, I would sing a song "I am a Child of God." That song would bring such peace to me and it helped me to recognize my eternal relationship with my Father in Heaven; that life exists beyond this mortal life. I do not live a perfect life and am so grateful for my Savior's atoning sacrifice; that when I fall short, I can repent and be cleansed through Christ's mercy and love; I can be made whole and receive the peace I long for. I know this the central part of the Lord's plan of happiness and am eternally grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have found such joy and peace in living the principles of this church, by being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

St. Francis of Assisi said “Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words.” I try to do this by the way I live my life. When I was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I covenanted to take upon the name of Jesus Christ and to stand as his witness. Daily I read the scriptures and pray to my Father in Heaven for guidance and peace. I serve others regularly in my community in various forms of service, in my congregation I serve by teaching Sunday lessons and I visit people in physcial or spiritual need.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in our Heavenly Father, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

When we put Jesus Christ as the center of our life we study his life. We try to be like him. Jesus Christ is full of charity and love. As we try to live like him our family relationships grow in that same charity and love. We are quicker to forgive and we begin to put others' before us. Show more Show less
