Hi I'm Evan

I play the violin, I speak Chinese, I look like Harry Potter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am now a full-time missionary for our church; I am serving in Taibei, Taiwan. I am often told I resemble Harry Potter. I love to play the violin, country music, soccer, and spend time with friends and family. I have worked part time jobs at Buger King and Godfather's Pizza. I'm a kid with big dreams and I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I have felt the happiness and peace of living it. If I am going to sacrifice time, energy..etc. doing something. Then there has to be a good reason why. I I know church has brought me the greatest happiness I have ever experienced. And it's true. As I live according to the teachings of this gospel,I enjoy the blessings of God. He is our Father, he loves us and he loves to help us in this life. Being apart of this church has helped me feel that the most. There is nothing in this life more important to me than this knowledge. It is simple and will increase every good thing in anyone's life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my as I know my Savior did. Whenever I see someone that could possibly use some help, I try to offer that hand of help. Living my faith isn't a once a week thing or a crutch. It is simply a way of life. A way that makes me desire to bring an attitude of joy wherever I go. I love EVERYONE and express that. My religion is evident in everything I do. And it really makes others happy.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Evan
Growing up in a Mormon family, I have always believed the church and its teachings to be true. But as I grew up, I decided I needed to know for myself. There is no possible way for me to rely on the testimony of others to keep going. So, I studied it out. I searched the scriptures; the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I reasoned it out, but in the end I decided if I wanted an answer about God. I would need to ask him. I had a strong desire and a little faith. So, I prayed. I prayed about this question for a good while until finally I got an answer. I felt a feeling I've never felt before. There is nothing else that has ever brought me even close to it. Just a pure calm feeling in my heart. Filling up my whole body. It was the Holy Ghost, God's messenger, telling me that it was true. I've never been able to bring myself to doubt or question that experience. I know it was God's answer. Better yet, I know every person on this whole Earth can experience the exact same thing. If they but seek it. Show more Show less
