Hi I'm DaJon

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Blackfoot, Idaho and served my mission from 2006-2008 in the Georgia Macon Mission.

About Me

I'm 24 years old and I attend Idaho State University and plan to pursue my bachelors in political science. I plan to go into business and have a radio show. I like sports, especially basketball and wrestling. I enjoy talk radio and listen regularly to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and Michael Medved. I have great parents and 2 great sisters and 5 great brothers.Â

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family who are faithful members of the Mormon church and because the church is important to them, it became important to me as I felt and heard their testimonies of the gospel and church often. This of course gave me a strong desire to gain this same peace and testimony, which I did gain, through scipture study and prayer.

How I live my faith

I have been privleged to be a teacher in the congregation that I belong to and one of the best parts about being given this privlege to teach is seeing the light of the gospel come on in the lives of those I have been privleged to teach. Another great part about the opportunity to teach is the fact that being able to teach helps the teacher to learn more and grow. I also try to help people whenever I can, because this is what the church teaches, though I could do much better. During my life I have also been privleged to visit people in their homes on a regular basis with my dad to share the principles of the gospel and to help with the needs of the members that we were assigned to make regular visits. My family as also been privleged to be visited regularly by great men and woman of our local mormon congregation.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

As a 19 year old boy, I was privleged to serve as a Mormon missionary in Georgia and South Carolina the bible belt, and was privledged to teach people of others faiths who believe in the holy bible. I read the King James version of the bible and was taught from a young age that the bible is the Word of God. As a Mormon, we honor the bible and revear it as holy scripture and we emphasize the teachings of the Book of Mormon because that is where we differ from other Christian religions. We do not ask others to forsake the teachings of the bible but to bring those cherished truths they have and be also blessed by the teachings of Jesus that are found in the Book of Mormon.
