Hi I'm Craig

My career has been in local government. Currently, I'm a City Manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Biloxi, Mississippi while my father was serving in the Air Force. After settling out West my brothers, father and I sang as a quartet before I moved from the area. Music has been an important part of my growing years. I earned degrees in Accounting Associate, Business Management Bachelor, and an MBA. I have worked in technology from the time that computers filled large rooms until now they reside in your phone. I have worked for two county governments, two city governments, and have consulted across the western United States to local governments. My career satisfaction comes from finding creative ways to provide essential services using minimal resources to those I serve.

Why I am a Mormon

It would be easy to say that I'm a mormon because my parents were. To the extent that I have learned from their examples of what it means to honor Jesus Christ and to serve Him, this is true. More than that, I have followed the Savior's invitation to know of His doctrine by living it. I have received confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the teachings of the Savior to all of His people in times old and now are true. I have found peace in great turmoil, received grace while facing trials and adversity, and have come to know Christ through the teachings of the Church as applied in action. I am grateful for knowledge which brings peace regardless of circumstance. I see much unhappiness in the world. I find that I have been able to avoid internal strife by following Christ. There are many who have felt that this is foolishness to me. However, in nearly every instance, those voices have come from unhappy people. I am blessed to be a "Latter-day Saint", a disciple of Jesus Christ who is the Master, the Redeemer, the Savior of the Wold, my Savior.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple to live. I try to accept His invitation to follow Him, by serving those around me. I visit my neigbhors to see that their needs are met. I participate in meetings by speaking when asked to do so. I have served by organizing blood drives, special recognition for our youth as they graduate from High School, organizing and providing direction of a musical performance titled "The Savior of the World". I have played piano for our childrens' meetings ages 3 to 11. I gratefully offer tithes and offerings that are used all over the world in humanitarian efforts, to provide places of worship, and to help missionaries share the gospel message. As a family, we have never, even in our most extreme circumstance of unemployment, found family lacking for the necessities of life. We have always been blessed for our offerings of service, time, and funds.
