Hi I'm Zach

I was raised in Albuquerque, NM. I am a nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a nurse for about 2 1/2 years. It is something that i really enjoy doing because I get to help people in a time of great need. I enjoy movies and going motorcycle riding (dirt biking). Also, my wife and I really like to go camping. We don't have any kids yet but hope to in the near future. We are also thinking of doing foster care.

Why I am a Mormon

I was bore in a family that was already affiliated with the Mormon (LDS) church, but I had to gain my own testimony over time. Just like everyone else in the church, I am not perfect. I have my struggles. This is one area where the Mormon Church has made a big difference in my life. The church has many different leaders that can help in many aspects of life, religious or not. The church has given me much help and strength in my life. It has taught me to be a better brother, son, father, husband, and ultimately person. It gives me hope and direction in life where there are so many things that say that it is normal or socially expected to do the wrong thing. The church has given me so much direction and I am eternally grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I try my best to always live my life as my Savior, Jesus Christ would have me live. Like I said before, I am far from perfect but I strive to do the best that I can. One thing that is important in the Mormon church is service. One way that we, and I personally serve others is by visiting families and individuals of the church on a regular basis. It is a way to strengthen yourself and others and also to gain a love for those you serve. I also have a calling in the church; an unpaid position to serve others in a leadership/organizational fashion. There are many different callings in the church such as teachers, counselors, leaders, librarians, etc. I am a leader in a group of men that we call "The Elders Quorum". I help in such things as doing home visits, teaching, organizing activities, etc. This helps me to grow spiritually and to gain a love for my neighbor as the savior taught.
