Hi I'm Kristy

I'm a married mother of 3, living in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large tight-knit family of 3 boys and 3 girls. My parents are converts to the Church, and they are the most amazing people. We moved a lot when I was young, so I was "raised all over the United States." I currently live in California with my husband of 9 years and our three children. We have another child on the way. I love to sew, build things, read, all things water i.e., swimming, water skiing, etc. and outdoors, and most of all to be with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

We moved all over the US growing up. Because of this I have become acquainted with all kinds of people and religions. In middle school and high school I was known for being Mormon. I believe my life's standards were well respected my those around me. I remember feeling that one of the biggest differences between me and many of my peers was my sense of direction and purpose. I was happy and very confident in knowing that I am a daughter of God, and that he knows me, and is mindful of me. I never went through a "finding myself" lost stage. I attribute this to knowing that God loves me and that the teachings of my Church are true. To put it simply, I know the Church is true. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to start and end each day with prayer. I usually pray that I can go about my day with his spirit, and that I can be mindful of what he would have me do and, how he would have to act. I try each day to follow my Saviors example.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, but we do respect him as the first prophet of this dispensation. Show more Show less
