Hi I'm Tom C.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a devoted husband to the most wonderful woman. Together we have 3 grown and married children who have not only blessed our lives, but have added the wonder of 9 beautiful grandchildren. We are all very close to one another, and most importantly we all have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and it's restoration through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and encouraged by my mother and older siblings to attend. When I was 9 years old my father also joined the church and together with my mother provided me with a strong doctrinal foundation and great examples of dedication and service. With their combined testimonies, along with those of inspired leaders, friends and extended family members I was taught the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith. It however, was not only the testimonies of others, but my own journey to confirm the truth, that solidified my testimony. I had been taught but I needed the spirit to confirm to me the truth of these things. Through prayer, study and service I discovered for myself that what I had been taught was true and those beliefs turned to knowledge and now my testimony can hopefully inspire others to find that same knowledge of truth for themselves.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed serving in many different callings in the church, and through that service have continued to learn how the Savior loves each one of us. That we can all be an instrument in His hands to bless the lives of others. I know I have been blessed by many others and have had the privilege of being the Lord's servant in serving others in time of need.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Tom C.
Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. Through the atonement He suffered for our sins, died on the cross and was resurrected so that each of us has the opportunity to be forgiven, and one day return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father in celestial glory. He is our Savior, our Redeemer and creator of this earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a Christian religion. Our beliefs regarding Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father may not align directly with other Christian religions, but that does not make us something other than Christian. Our beliefs are founded on scripture, living prophets and personal revelation. As our first Article of Faith indicates, "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." Show more Show less
