Hi I'm Aubree

I'm energetic and silly. I love to read, write, travel and sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota and now I am LOVING college in South Dakota. I am double majoring in Advertising and Spanish. I hope to be fluent one day in Spanish, and although it sometimes seems impossible, I am determined to make it happen. In my free time, I love to sing, cook, and watch movies with my friends. I'm crazy and unpredictable and I am determined never to live the same day twice!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Methodist and loved it, but I knew that something was missing. I was baptized in the Church when I was 18, about two years after being introduced to the Church by my best friend in the whole world. I haven't regretted it for a moment. I love being a part of the Church that I know is the true Church of Jesus Christ. Nothing warms my heart more to know than that I am a beloved daughter of my Heavenly Father, who loves me and cares for me. I have a testimony of the truth of the Gospel and I live my life striving to please the Lord and seek his guidance in everything that I do. Although I grew up knowing and loving the Bible, nothing compares to knowing that I have the fullness of the restored Gospel now. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet on the Earth today and that the Lord leads his Church directly through the prophet and apostles we have on the Earth today. I have read the Book of Mormon and gained an understanding and an uncomparable passion for it, and as I have prayed about it, I know without a doubt that it truly is the word of God. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I cherish my testimony that this is the one true Church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As I live my life, I am constantly striving to follow the Example of Jesus Christ to become more like Him and our Heavenly father. I do this by doing small daily things such as praying and reading scripture. Knowing the joy that the Gospel has brought to my life motivates me to be a missionary to those around me, even if it is just a little bit at a time. I strive always to be a leader and an example to everyone around me and to show them what it means to be a Latter-day Saint. Many times people aren't willing to listen right away, but my goal is that they will notice that I am different because I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I know from experience that being an example is one of the greatest ways that we can reach people and teach them about the love of our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
