Hi I'm Bob Wood

I work in Maryland as a marketing analytics leader and have a wonderful family with four children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been happily married for 21 years now. My oldest daughter was just married, have two boys in high school, and a daughter in elementary school. Right now I am working at Cox Communications as a Director of Marketing Science, and really enjoy it. Hope to finish a PhD in research Psychology within the next year or two. Enjoy reading, camping, being with my family, and writing.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up my family were members of one of the local protestant churches in the area - very involved. My mother was the church's kindergarten teacher and my dad did volunteer clerk work for the church. One day missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came by the house. Because my father had great experiences with a member of the church at work, he invited them in. We went through the missionary lessons as a family, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we came to learn that their message was true - Christ did once again restore his church on the earth and there is a prophet living today. As a family we joined the church in 1978, and I have been active ever since - committed to what the Lord revealed to me.

How I live my faith

A little over three years ago, I was asked to serve as bishop of the Maize Ward congregation of the church. That means that I have around 360 members of the church to take care of, and I love it.
