Hi I'm Elisha

I'm a wife and a mom of 6. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom in a small town. I love the simple things in life. I have homeschooled my children for the last 10 years and love being able to bring God into every subject we learn about. I love to garden, organize, do family history and read to my children. Most of all, I just love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

From a very young age I knew the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. I was born into the church, but my parents were less active. I remember having my mom drive me to church when I was just 4 years old. I had a best friend whose family was active. Whenever I would have a sleepover, their family would have scripture study and family prayer. I loved the feeling of their home, I love the way it felt when I prayed with their family. On Monday nights, friends would have to go home early so their family could have Family Home Evening. I knew when I grew up and got married, these were the things I wanted in my home. Now that I am married and have a family of my home, my husband and I have tried hard to make those same things consistent in our home. We feel the blessings that they bring to us as we are trying to do what our Heavenly Father wants us to. I know with all my heart that this gospel is true. We have a Heavenly Father who knows us and loves us each individually and wants nothing more than to have us return to Him. Jesus Christ is our Savior. He paid the ultimate price for us, so that we would have a way to return to our Father. He is our Savior and only through Him can we return to our Heavenly home. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. That he restored the true church upon this earth. He was a prophet of God. And today we have a living prophet, even Thomas S. Monson. I know the Book of Mormon is true and the most correct book upon the earth, and through it we can receive answers to any questions we have. We need only ask.

How I live my faith

I am a visiting teacher and enjoy going out monthly to visit ladies that I have been assigned to. I also teach the women who are 18 years and older once a month. I enjoy discussing gospel topics and learning from one another.
