Hi I'm Michael Neuweiler

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father with 4 kids, an 18yo, 12yo, 9yo and a son who is already in Heaven. I coach high school and club volleyball here in Gilbert, Arizona and have been coaching for over 15 years now. I love just about all sporting activities and my true love is watching my kids play in their sports.

Why I am a Mormon

My beautiful wife was an inactive member of the church when we meet, and shortly after getting married I decided to take the missionary lessons. I knew I wanted my marriage to be different this time as this was my second time, and I wanted my family to have something more than I had growing up. My wife's parents are such a great example for me of what kind of home I want for my family to grow up in, and that was my initial reasoning for joining the church. Everything really changed for me a few years ago when our son Austin passed away just days after birth. So many things from that experience strengthened my testimony and knowing that families can be together forever is what got us through his passing.

How I live my faith

Our family actively attends church every week, and I have a calling to teach Sunday School to the youth in my current Ward. My wife and I attend the temple on a regular basis and have made that something we try to do weekly. My kids are active in church functions and truly love doing family home evening activities as well as family scripture study.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Michael Neuweiler
The Prophet is not really chosen, he is generally the most senior Apostle in the Quorum of The Twelve Apostles, the Prophet still needs to be confirmed by all members of the church though. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Michael Neuweiler
This is because it is the house of the Lord, and you must be worthy to enter his house. Show more Show less
