Hi I'm John White

Im a musician, a missionary, I like to drive with the music up loud and sing along, and i am Definilty a Mormon!!

About Me

Hey! Im John White. i was born and raised in Mesa Arizona. I moved with my mom , my Dad and my to sisters to the outer parts of town when i was about 13. I love music and the role it plays in my life, and religion and i enjoy shareing it with others. I plan on attending school for music prodution and recording when i retern from serving a mission in Portland Oregon.

Why I am a Mormon

in life we all want something to hold onto. Something real. we all want our lives to have meaning. i guess that i am Mormon because it makes sense.. if there is a God, which i believe there is.. this is the way that he would run his church. We have a Prophet so that we arnt left guessing what it is that God wants us to do. We have Gods authority to do his will as is He Himself was here. I like knowing that the things i do in this life matter.. I enjoy the Peace that comes from knowing that this life isn't just random.. but instead part of a Plan that was Created so that i can become more like my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I like to live my faith by shareing the message that Christ's church is established on Earth today just like it was when He Himself was here. I feel like the most important thing that I can do is live by the truths that I have been taught and allow other to follow that example. Christ taught that the members of His church should be a "city that is set on a hill" I try to live my faith my taking that to heart,

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

John White
In the church we believe that Baptism is done by immersion as was Christ(Matt. 313-17) we believe that it is only through baptism and receiving the Gift of Holy Ghost that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

John White
I absolutely do.. God has always and will always appoint one to lead his Church. we learn in the Book of Amos 3:7 that " Surely the Lord God will do nothing, save he revealith His secret unto His servants the Prophets". Prophets are the lord chosen mouthpieces. They are men called of God. We do, however, Deny any claim of infalability regarding the prophet. they are still human. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

John White
Authority has always been an essential and necessary prerequisite to running Christs church. In the Bible we learn that Christ called and ordained His apostles. This authority was called the Priesthood. it is the power and the authority to act in the name of Christ. I must be given by the laying on of hands and is requisite to preform the ordinance of baptism as well as the sacrament. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

John White
Our Temples May be one of the most peculiar parts of our worship to non-members. The Temple is the House of the Lord. And as in ancient times it is used to preform ordinences of salvation for bolth the living and the dead. It is in the temple that our families can be made eternal families. And i know of assurity that the ordinences preformed there are true. Show more Show less
