Hi I'm Stephanie

I am a wife, daughter and aunt. I served a mission in Texas. I love to Laugh and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I received my bachelor’s at age 19. I like shooting bows and guns. I love ballroom and watching "Dancing with the Stars." I am a crafter and a builder. I would love to build our own home one day. Sports such as badminton, volleyball, and tennis are some of my favorites. I grew up with one brother and 2 sisters and a dad who didn't care we were girls. I was using a chainsaw at a service project and my husband had gone off to put the logs away. The person who was helping him pointed out the girl using the chainsaw and he promptly said "that's my wife. The one girl in the world who can be at a shooting competition, be winning, and be talking about how to arrange the wildflowers." I am a jack of all trades, and I mean literally all trades; from roofing to sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon faith. My Dad joined before my parents were married and mom grew up in. They instilled a deep faith in my Savior Jesus Christ when I was young and as I grew up the responsibility to make it grow became mine. As I followed the example of my savior my testimony grew of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I came to know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. It contains the fullness of the Gospel. I know the Book of Mormon is another book of Scripture that works hand in hand with the bible. Joseph Smith truly did see God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. There is a prophet on the Earth today. Jesus Christ Lives! He is the only way we can be saved.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus by serving those around me whether they be members or not, everyone is a child of God. I have the opportunity to serve in several different capacities in the church. I serve as a leader over the children, helping the teenage girls learn survival skills at their yearly camp, visit several women who are also part of the church once a month to see if they need anything, and my husband and I get to be DJ's for the youth dances. We pray together on a daily basis. We study the word of God and try to apply to our everyday lives.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The Lord gave us a great gift and asked us to share it. Everytime I knocked on a door as a missionary I knew that what I knew to be true was what every person was looking for, what they needed, I had something that our spirits inherently know and thirst after. I was able to share not just a piece of Christ's gospel but the everlasting fullness. That is why I served for 18 months, to share the greastest gift of all. Show more Show less
