Hi I'm Christine

I'm a musician, I love to laugh, I'm a daughter of God... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and enjoying the world God created for me. I was raised in Indiana by loving parents in a strong Catholic home. My religion was a big part of my life and so was music. My parents were great and they were always involved with all of my music activities. I'm a band geek and proud of it...I don't know what my life would be like without music. I made a big change in my life and joined the Church almost 5 years ago. I was married this past May and am currently attending school at BYU in Provo, UT. I enjoy cooking and sewing and being involved in activities that stretch my creativity. I love being happy and the gospel definitely brings me that joy. Penguins are pretty cool. I also love socks. I have too many pairs to count. My feet never get cold.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this church is true. I haven't always had the gospel in my life and when I found it I knew that it could bless my life. I really wanted to give it a fair chance and when the missionaries invited me to pray to know if it was true... I did. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers because he answered mine. I know that with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored church of God on the earth today because I discovered it for myself. There are so many wonderful blessings that we get from this gospel and one of the first things that stood out to me was that families could be together forever. Our relationships with those we love do not have to end in this life. We can be united for eternity. When we lose a loved one here on earth, it will be hard, but we can see them again and that is something that I am eternally greatful for.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to become like my Savior Jesus Christ. This is a hard continual process that I will work on my whole life. I try to be mindful of those around me. I pray for opportunities to serve my fellow brothers and sisters. Most importantly, I try to let the light of Christ shine through me by being a good example to those around me. I hope to always be kind and loving just as my Savior is. I am definitely not perfect, but I hope that by daily striving to do my best I can one day become my best.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Christine
A testimony is something that is special to each member of our church. It is different for each person but it is a statement of our personal beliefs. It's not something we get easily...gaining a testimony comes from prayer, scripture study and living the commandments. I gained my testimony on Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the gospel through music. Music brings me peace and that was how I was able to feel the promptings of the Spirit telling me the church was true. Show more Show less
